Awesome! The power and emotion in this are breathtaking, and I like how you leave us hanging about the exact identity of “him.” BTW, welcome to #FridayFlash! You have added a link to the Collector and posted it on the FB page too, right?

Thanks Sam…I wanted to step outside my comfort zone and write outside my usual fantasy / supernatural sort of thing. No I haven’t yet. I will look into it now. Thanks for the tips.

  3. I love the tension and frustration in this. And how we know (or at least suspect) without you saying, that this must be about the death of their son.

Great to see you join #fridayflash. This is really strong from the start. I wanted to know what was happening immediately. Lot of emotion. Look forward to reading more of your work.

Welcome to the #fridayflash community! You came in with a deal of emotion and tires screeching. Sad how some characters (and real people) can be torn apart by loss.

  6. Wonderfully powerful story Rebecca! Welcome to #fridayflash!

The image of the cell phone vibrating in the dirt does a great job of capturing her despair. Welcome to Friday flash.

Thanks everyone for your support and the time you took to read my flash…much appreciated

  12. You did an excellent job detailing the emotional grief from the loss of a child. With the swings of emotion and frenzied decisions. I hope Mel and jack can work it out. They sound like good people in a bad place.
